Excellence in Stewardship of the Environment, 2023
Diana Ralys Skin Health operates Radiance Wellness Spa. The spa is a peaceful and welcoming oasis in the heart of Santa Monica located just one block from the 3rd Street promenade. Since 2017, it has been the only green-certified retail spa in Santa Monica. Diana Ralys Skin Health offers organic facials, Reiki energy healing, full spectrum Infrared Sauna, sounds/light meditation, as well as high vibration skincare products, handmade and bottled in small batches. They are leaders in educating their customers on conservation and environmental stewardship.
Diana Ralys Skin Health extends their philosophy for using sustainable ingredients to their spa operations. They make coconut oil based hand soap and procure green certified cleaning products. To further their commitment, they avoid plastic containers. All skin products are packaged in glass bottles with wood lids. They offer a ‘take back’ program where clients get $2 off when they bring in the empty container. They have also taken voluntary steps to upgrade their equipment and fixtures to conserve natural resources.

The Digital Difference is a boutique post production facility servicing the studio and independent film community for over 20 years; providing post production services and equipment rentals. They divert 80% of unwanted materials from ending up in landfills by recycling and composting with Santa Monica’s Resource Recovery & Recycling (R3) services. The Digital Difference procurement policy commits to using environmentally-friendly cleaners and supplies, while also giving preference to local businesses in an effort to support the local economy.

DUVIVIER ARCHITECTS provides a full range of design services, including architectural design, urban design and planning and ecological mapping, with an emphasis on water resources and sustainability. Their accomplishments in sustainable building design, mapping, watershed and wetland conservation, and graphic representation advance the professional/public conversation and understanding of integrating nature to restore nature in architecture. Duvivier's client diversity ranges from working with private residences, schools, and cities, demonstrates economic sustainability by supporting the entire community/neighborhood. For over 2 decades, Duvivier Architect's design work has been serving as a teaching tool for youth. More native trees and plants! The firm even uses repurposed cardboard to create architectural models. Duvivier Architects works closely with the AIA and supports local charities and communities by donating thousands of pro bono hours and hiring locally.
