Event Information

The event is scheduled to begin 11:00 am on April 26, 2018 at Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica Hotel in the Penthouse Ballroom.  SQA winners will be formally recognized during a special award presentation starting at 12:00 pm. A sustainable lunch will be served.

  • An active networking and exhibitor hour showcasing local businesses and local chefs with their sustainable bites begins at 11:00 am. 
  • Free bike valet will be provided and attendees will receive a raffle ticket for walking, biking or carpooling to the event.

Keynote Speaker: Paul M.E. Bunje, Ph.D

Paul Bunje is the Chief Scientist at the XPRIZE Foundation, where he brings his
unique ability to bridge the gap between science and society to the grand challenges
facing our world. Dr. Bunje leads the impact strategy across grand challenge domains
at XPRIZE, combining expertise in incentive prizes, crowdsourcing, technology, and
innovation with challenges that span civil society, environment, energy, health, and
exploration. In particular, Dr. Bunje is a global thought leader in bringing innovation to
solve environmental grand challenges. Paul is also the co-founder of Conservation X
Labs, an organization that brings innovation to global conservation threats. Paul was
the founding Executive Director of the UCLA Center for Climate Change Solutions,
the Managing Director of the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action
and Sustainability, and served on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda
Council for Oceans.

Awards Ceremony Ticket Information 

Pre-paid tickets are $60 for Chamber members and $70 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online or reserve tickets in advance by calling 310.393.9825.  

Green Event

This zero waste event, lead sponsored by Morley Builders and LAcarGUY, will showcase local restaurants highlighting Santa Monica's Farmers Market produce. Attendees will savor sustainable bites during the networking hour.
